In Postcards and Souvenir Albuns
João Emilio Gerodetti e Carlos Cornejo

A train climbs the final grade on its way to Chapéu do Sol, where the railway ended. Chapéu do Sol means "sun hat" in Portuguese and refers to a structure with a conical thatched roof that was built there as a rest stop for people who climbed Corcovado on foot before the railway was built.
