João Emílio Gerodetti and Carlos Cornejo

The Royal Mail steamer Thames (II) entered service in 1890 at 5,645 tons. She traveled to Brazilian ports for over two decades, and here we see her in Rio de Janeiro. At the onset of World War I she was deemed obsolete, and scuttled as blockship near the British naval base at Scapa Flow, Scotland.
